... in my house. Still needs a bit of fixing, but fortunately I've had little help from my friends. After tearing away couple of layers of at least 60-year-old carpet, the last thing standing between me and hardwood floors was some kind of indescribable fiber that was glued to the floor boards underneath. Luckily we discovered it was relatively easy to scrape off once moisturized with water, it was quite impossible as dry. Then some sanding and painting...
