Playful New Finnish Design

If you happen to be in New York this coming weekend, you're in for a treat. Go see the Meatpacking District Design 09 15- 18 May, where also Finnish designers are exhibited, in eight recycled shipping containers serving as mini design showrooms. The themes, environment & innovation, creativity & education are also present in their events, seminar and workshops for adults & children.

One of the design studios in the exhibition is Järvi & Ruoho, and the It's a Wolf! -rug above is from Teemu Järvi, breaking the pattern of symmetrical print design traditionally used in rugs. Have a wolf peeking from under your couch... We likes...
